The Volkswagen Crafter has been voted Continental Irish Van of the Year 2012 by the Irish Motoring Writers Association (IMWA). The announcement was made in November at an awards ceremony at the Convention Centre Dublin attended by leading figures from the motor industry. The Crafter, has been the key stone to Wolfe Brothers success, travelling to events around the World in comfort. The first Irish BMX race in Ireland in 25years took place at the BMX race facility in Ratoath, Co Meath on Sunday 27th Novemeber 2011. Pocket rockets to old age pensioners competed on extremely well prepped BMX race track on a cold crisp day. The crowds gathered, Radio Nova crew were out in full swing with the Nova Hummer & Nova Harleys roaring.. Even bike fanatic/comedian PJ Gallagher showed up for a look, he wants a BMX now! Gerard won the 25-35age cat. “I came with an open mind, I’m used to racing the clock.. The 2011 Downhill Mountain Bike National Championship was held on Carrick Mountain, Co Wicklow organized by Epicdh & Flow Racing. Dan & Ger debuted the Cycleways/Volkswagen Commercial powered Specialized Demo 8 on the fast & loose track. Gerard Wolfe became the 2011 National Downhill Champion of Ireland, beating this Borther Daniel Wolfe, the 2010 Champion on a gnarly track. A quirky fund raising challenge, Dan & Ger towed & powered a fridge from Dublin to Galway in one run on a tandem. The idea came from a bet with friends, & Tony Hawks, the man who hitch hiked a fridge around Ireland. The 220km cycle took 11hrs 28mins to complete, the guys didn’t know what they got themselves into.. Radio Nova plugged the cycle during the week, Almax auto electrician hooked up the alternator & www.bikework.ie sponsored the cycle.
